Fogerty to be Named BMI Icon
John Fogerty is set to be recognized as a BMI Icon at BMI's 58th annual Pop Awards. The former Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman will be awarded the honor at the event, which will take place on May 18th at L.A.'s Beverly Wiltshire Hotel.
Artists are certified as BMI Icons for their "unique and indelible influence on generations of music makers." With the award, Fogerty joins other such recipients as Gamble & Huff, the Jacksons, the Bee Gees, Paul Simon, Brian Wilson, James Brown, Hall & Oates and many more.
