"Hats Off" to Little Brothers - Friends of the Elderly (Non-Station Event)

The Mayor and Mrs. Menino will be hosting an evening of music, an exciting auction, and food from some of Boston’s best caterers to celebrate 30 years of service to Boston's elders. Proceeds to benefit local elders in getting medications, escorts to doctor appointments, emergency food delivery, companionship and more.Little Brothers-Friends of the Elderly is a national volunteer based non-sectarian, non-profit organization committed to relieving isolation and loneliness among the elderly. In 2009, Little Brothers of Boston extended friendship to 681 elders; made 5,542 in-home visits; and provided 4,291meals through the Emergency Food Pantry and Holiday and Special Events Programs.
